Fort Steilacoom Park is one of Lakewood’s most interesting parks. It has a dark past of being the grounds of the old Western State Hospital. You can even visit the foundation of the old building and learn about the history. The park also offers vast fields, a lake, dog park, and lookouts of the Puget Sound.
